Meet our Board

Mark Lewis

Managing Director, Lime Rock New Energy

Mark Lewis is a Managing Director with responsibility for investment sourcing, execution, and overall fund management. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Electric Power Engineers, ENER-I.ai, and Power TakeOff, and is a board observer at Aperia Technologies. Mark joined Lime Rock New Energy in 2018 and brings to this role a career in clean and renewable energy portfolio company management and operations, energy transition investing, and strategic energy technology acquisitions. 

Prior to joining LRNE, Mark served as President of TAE Technologies, Inc., a leading fusion energy technology development company. Previously, Mark served as CEO of ONEnergy, Inc., a diversified energy services company involved in energy retailing, commercial and industrial energy efficiency and distributed solar development. Prior to ONEnergy, Mark was an investor and a Managing Director and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee at MissionPoint Capital Partners, an environmentally driven investment firm focused on financing the transition to a lower carbon economy. Earlier in his career, Mark served with General Electric in Europe and the US, including three years as the head of Global Business Development at GE Power (now GE Vernova). He was involved in over $15 billion of transactions during his career at GE.  Mark started his career in energy investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York and London. He previously served on the boards of directors of Qmerit, Smart Wires, Trilliant Networks, UpWind Solutions, ONEnergy, and OZZ Clean Energy.

 

Mark is a graduate of Western University (B.A.) and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (M.B.A.).

Blair Barlow

Managing Director, Lime Rock New Energy

Blair Barlow joined the Lime Rock New Energy team in 2021 as a Director and is now a Managing Director. Prior to joining Lime Rock New Energy, Blair spent 13 years on the Lime Rock Partners team where he gained increasing deal management responsibilities, rising from the level of Associate. He brings to the team diverse deal selection, execution, and portfolio company strategic execution experience and has played a leadership role in global field service, product, and technology-oriented companies in the Lime Rock Partners portfolio. Blair has worked for Lime Rock in multiple domestic and international locations. Blair currently serves on the board of directors of Aperia Technologies and Power TakeOff, and previously served on the board of directors of Ardyne, Capstone Natural Resources II, Cor4 Oil, Prime Rock Resources, Reveal Energy Services, Rod and Tubing Services, and Transform Exploration. He is a graduate of Harvard University (A.B.).

Chris Steinbaugh

Senior Director, Private Equity Impact Investing, Nuveen

Chris is a Senior Director on the on the Private Equity Impact Team at Nuveen. He is primarily responsible for originating, underwriting and executing transactions for the team’s Resource Efficiency strategy.

He has also been involved with a portfolio of Nuveen’s direct private equity investments in the agribusiness sector and with the firm’s private junior debt capital team. Prior to joining Nuveen in 2014, Chris worked for eleQtra, a London-based developer of infrastructure projects in Africa, where he helped develop an irrigated farming project in Zambia. Chris previously worked for Obrem Capital Management, an alternative investment manager, and Evercore Partners, an investment banking advisory firm.  

Radhika graduated with an A.B. from Princeton University, an M.B.A. from London Business School, and an M.S.c. in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford.

Dr. Michael Howard

CEO Emeritus, Electric Power Research Institute
Chair, World Energy Council

Dr. Michael W. Howard is passionate about creating a sustainable and equitable energy future. He combines business insight with deep technical expertise and in-depth electric utility experience. He has over forty years of results-driven global executive experience with a bias toward collaboration, entrepreneurship, and innovation in organizations ranging from start-ups to large public companies. Most recently, Dr. Howard served for ten years as the CEO of EPRI, a $460 million company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with several U.S. and international offices.

EPRI develops technology innovations encompassing the production, delivery, and use of electricity, including nuclear power, renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicles, with a mission to ensure reliable, affordable, and cleaner electricity for society. Dr. Howard served in several EPRI leadership roles before EPRI’s Board of Directors selected him as its President and CEO in 2010. He retired as  CEO at the end of 2020, and the Board of Directors appointed Dr. Howard as its CEO Emeritus.

Dr. Howard serves on the Board of Directors of three technology-based companies who provide products and services to the energy sector. He also serves on the Carnegie Mellon University’s Scott Institute advisory council and is Chair of the World Energy Council headquartered in London. Dr. Howard recently served on a technical committee of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences. Dr. Howard was awarded the Distinguished Energy Award in Washington, D.C., for lifetime contributions to providing technical innovations and leadership to global energy issues. Dr. Howard is an active IEEE and National Association of Corporate Directors member.

Dr. Howard started his career with Westinghouse after receiving his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tennessee. While working at Westinghouse, he received his M.S. in Business and Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Ph.D. from The University of Tennessee, College of Engineering.

Kevin Martin

Chief Executive Officer, Power TakeOff

Kevin Martin is a results-driven executive with over 15 years of experience in the software and energy efficiency services industry. Kevin serves as CEO of Power TakeOff, a leading company in the energy efficiency and sustainability sector. In this position, Kevin plays a pivotal role in steering the organization towards its mission of driving positive environmental impact while ensuring operational excellence. Kevin is a graduate from the University of Waterloo (B.E.S.) and prior to joining Power TakeOff worked in various roles in home energy efficiency, ground water remediation, and municipal organics waste management. 

Peter Widmer

President, Power TakeOff

Peter Widmer is a dynamic leader in the energy industry where his leadership at Power TakeOff as President has brought innovation and cutting-edge services to underserved small and midsize businesses across the United States. In his industry facing role, Power TakeOff has become a trailblazer in sustainable energy solutions within the utility demand side management market where the company is a trusted partner to dozens of investor-owned utilities. Prior to joining Power TakeOff, Peter began his career in resource conversation through carbon credit project development in East Africa and at FERC’s Office of Energy Market Regulation. Peter graduated with a B.A. in Business from Goshen College and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
